I am very sorry to talk about it, but the moment has come when I hear bad things about my compatriots on the streets of Warsaw. And here I want to say one thing: each of us is tired of this war, but it continues, all the time Ukrainian cities are under fire – Ukrainian journalist Alina Makarchuk said in Sunday’s “Facts after Facts” on TVN24.

Makarczuk has been living and working in Poland for eight years. At her side, the guest of Anita Werner was Oleh Biłecki, also a journalist who came to our country in March. As he said, he is needed here more than in Kiev. This is where it has its front.

War fatigue on both sides

Recently, Makarczuk informed on social media that she had a long conversation with her Polish friends, which showed her that “war fatigue and skepticism bordering on hatred of Ukrainians is growing”.

– I am very sorry to talk about it, but the moment has come when I hear bad things about my compatriots on the streets of Warsaw. And here I want to say one thing – each of us is tired of this war, but it continues all the time, all the time Ukrainian cities are under fire. Let me remind you that in Ukraine mobilization is universal, so all men of recruiting age must be there. There are different situations in Poland, because there is always a percentage of people who are less cool, less polite. And here I want to appeal to our countrymen – remember that we are ambassadors of our country and every thank you, every good word, every smile gives a lot – she said.

Anita Werner, an interlocutor, also appealed to Poles not to forget that “they opened their doors to Ukrainians only for a while”. She explained that the more and more frequent misunderstandings may result from the fact that after the outbreak of the war it was impossible to clearly define for how long this help would be needed.

Author:– There is fatigue on both sides. We have to remember all the time that people are different – added Biłecki.

Author:The journalist was also asked who he is in constant contact with in Ukraine. As he revealed, these are mainly journalists who are his informants and former journalists who are currently at the front. – I keep asking what it looks like. I am not asking about the fight because not everything can be said in public. It can harm the military – he said. – Ukraine has already given up too much. This nation wants to live differently. We have already gone through too much, too much ahead of us, and this is the greatest motivation, ‘he added when asked where the Ukrainians get their strength from.

Author:Makarczuk, in turn, told about her contact with her father, who is still at the front. He holds up thanks to children, there is an avalanche of support and every call is important. He knows that I am fighting here on my front, he is on my own. We talk several times a day. It is currently in the north because we expect an attack from Belarus. Unfortunately, this threat still exists. There is a risk of an attempt to seize Kiev, she explained.

Author:She added that for Ukrainians every zloty of aid is very important, and the military is very grateful for the Turkish Bayraktara drones delivered.
