President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky In a video speech on Saturday, he stressed the need to hold Russia and its accomplices accountable not only for aggression against Ukraine, but also against other countries, including Syria.

– Ukrainian sanctions are part of the global pressure on Russia. Anyone who produces weapons for terror against Ukraine, who helps Russia in inciting aggression, in particular by providing “Shakhed”, who supports Russia’s destruction of international law, should be treated marginally by the world, Zelensky said.

He stressed that this applies not only to terror against Ukrainians, starting with the annexation of Crimea, but also to other Russian aggressions against the international order, against normal peaceful life, in particular on Syrian territory.

– The people of Syria have not received adequate international protection, which gives the Kremlin and its associates a sense of impunity. Russian bombs destroyed the cities of Syria in the same way as our Ukrainian cities. Much of the Kremlin’s current aggression lies in this impunity.
