Over the last 24 hours, 600 Russian soldiers died in Ukraine, the general staff of the Ukrainian armed forces said in a daily report. According to his information, since the beginning of the armed aggression, the Russian army has lost 230,260 soldiers during the fighting. Deputy Defense Minister, Hanna Malar, announced that “Ukrainian forces are advancing in the south of the country, in the direction of Berdyans and Melitopol, in the midst of heavy fighting.”

In Monday’s report on the situation at the front, the general staff of the Ukrainian armed forces also announced that the Russian army had lost Ukraine five tanks, 11 armored vehicles and 32 artillery systems.

Gradual advance of Ukrainian forces

Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Malar announced on Monday that last week Ukrainian forces liberated 37 square kilometers of territory from Russian occupation in eastern and southern Ukraine.

Malar said that the army is conducting offensive and defensive operations in eastern Ukraine. Ukrainian forces are advancing in the direction of Bakhmut, and the Russian army is on the offensive in the Lyman, Avdiiv and Mariin sectors. Fierce fighting continues in the east, and enemy fire has doubled, she added.

In the south of the country, the Ukrainians are successfully conducting an offensive in the Melitopol and Berdian directions. Last week, over 28 square kilometers of territory were liberated, the deputy minister said. In total, more than 158 square kilometers of territory were liberated in the south.
