In February, President Zelensky announced the beginning of the creation of a new, separate type of troops, the Unmanned Systems Forces.

– Drones – unmanned aerial systems – have proven effectiveness in battles on land, sky and sea. Ukraine has really changed the security situation in the Black Sea thanks to drones. Countering land attacks is largely the work of drones. The destruction of the occupiers and their equipment on a large scale is also the work of drones, the head of state explained at the time.
