Three years after the fatal shooting on set of the film Rust, the jury has reached a verdict on a kind of concerned.

The movie’s armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was discovered responsible of involuntary manslaughter and never responsible of tampering with proof by a New Mexico jury on March 6, per a court docket submitting obtained by E! Information. 

The jury deliberated for two-and-a-half hours over the choice, and with the responsible verdict, the 26-year-old faces as much as three years in state jail. Following her court docket proceedings, Gutierrez-Reed was taken again into police custody to await her sentencing, which is able to occur at a later date. 

Gutierrez-Reed’s almost two-week legal trial occurred after actor Alec Baldwin held a prop gun that fired a stay spherical of ammunition whereas on the set of the movie Rust again in 2021. The bullet that was fired injured the film’s director Joel Souza and killed the cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins. Gutierrez-Reed, who loaded the gun utilized by Baldwin on set, plead not responsible to her costs over the incident. As well as, Baldwin—who has insisted he was not the one to pull the gun’s triggerplead not guilty to his own charges associated to the killing again in January and can face trial in July.
