Two horses running in the middle of the road were noticed by drivers driving the provincial road No. 534 in Rypin (Kujawsko-Pomorskie). As it turned out, they managed to get out of the pasture three kilometers away, because wild animals damaged the fence there. Fortunately, no one was hurt and the horses returned to their owner.
The incident took place on Sunday (May 29) before midnight. The police officers received a report about two horses running along the voivodeship road No. 534. The officers went to the place where they found the animals.
– They immediately stopped the police car and turned off the lights to avoid stressing the horses. One of the policemen got out of the car and walked decisively towards them, blocking the escape route. He held one of the horses by the halter and tied the other with a rope – said Dorota Rupińska from the Poviat Police Headquarters in Rypin.
In the end, the animals were pulled from one of them so that they would not pose a threat on the road.
They ran away because wild animals damaged the pasture fence
We found the owner of the animals who had arrived. As it turned out, they fled a pasture three kilometers away.
– The electric fence protecting the pasture was torn apart by wild game, which caused the horses to break free. The police instructed the breeder to increase the precautions when keeping the animals so that there would be no dangerous situations – added Rupińska.
