President about objects in the Polish sky. “War has never been so close”

In the case of objects entering Polish airspace from the east, referred on Saturday during the largest exercise of the Polish Armed Forces this year ANAKONDA-23, President Andrzej Duda.

– War has never been so close to us, it has never been so tangible. She creates many different difficult situations, many provocations, even those that we see even in the last hours when we hear that objects are coming over Poland from the territory of Belarusof different kinds, You have to recognize them, you have to consider the question of how dangerous they pose, you have to make decisions on these issues – said Andrzej Duda.

– These decisions are made, objects are observed, we draw conclusions from every action that takes place. For me, the most important thing is that Poland should be safe, and above all, that all our citizens should feel safe, stressed the president.

Andrzej Duda assured that “all important matters are under control“. – We act very calmly, consistently and I appeal to act calmly and without emotions. We draw conclusions from all the events that take place. They are new to us – he said.

– I can’t talk about the details here, especially the recent events, because most of them are classified – said Andrzej Duda.

Andrzej Duda: in touch with allies

The president informed that Poland remains in constant contact with its allies. He added that on Monday, among other things, he will talk about these incidents with the NATO secretary general Jens Stoltenberg in connection with the preparations for the summit.

Objects from the east in the Polish sky. Expert comments

Incidents involving objects flying in from across the eastern border commented in Saturday’s “Fakty po Faktach” reserve commander Maksymilian Dura, an expert of the Defence24 portal, former head of the Department in the Command and Communications Directorate of the Naval Staff and former Polish representative in NATO, and reserve colonel Dr. Piotr Łukasiewiczformer ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Afghanistan.

– We accept the simplest logic for us, that all this happened by accident, that the Russian rocket on December 16 flew in by accident, that these balloons fly in by accident. And such a narrative suits everyone, both the military and politicians. In fact, all of this may be intentional Dura judged, referring to the latest incidents as well as to rocket that fell near Bydgoszcz on December 16 last year. The remains of the bullet were found only in April, after a random person came across them in the village of Zamość (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship).

He added that the object that flew over Polish territory on Friday, “it can be both a weather balloon but also a spy balloon or a balloon that will do some sabotage, drop something, set fire to the forest“. – However, this balloon flew and nothing was done to this balloon. And that’s probably the problem – assessed Dura.
