No surprise – this is how Civic Coalition MP Agnieszka Pomaska commented on the news of the arrest of former Law and Justice MEP Ryszard Czarnecki by the CBA. “Oh please. Ryszard! What have you gotten yourself into?” – wrote Roman Giertych on social media.
As reported by the spokesman Ministry of Interior and Administration Jacek Dobrzyński, today at around 4 pm at the Warsaw airport CBA agents detained former Law and Justice MEP Ryszard Czarnecki. At the same time in Warsaw his wife Emilia H. was detained.

“Oh come on. Rysiu! What have you gotten yourself into?” – he commented on social media Roman Giertych.
– No surprise – said Agnieszka Pomaska (KO) in an interview with TVN24.
– I have this feeling and impression, especially from recent days, that Ryszard Czarnecki was simply a professional sly guy. It seems that he was not only getting rich on public money in the European Parliament, but also played a few other pianos – added the MP.
According to her, “no one detains anyone without any reason”. – It seems that he did not only sit in some university body, but apparently did something more. One can only guess, looking at his greed so far, that it was probably about money – said Pomaska.

– There is no surprise, because Ryszard Czarnecki has proven to be an exceptionally creative traveler who travelled to the European Parliament sessions in a semi-trailer tractor, a convertible in winter, a non-existent car, a scrapped scooter or an unproduced vehicle, but in reality he was going to collect allowances for fictitious journeys. Today, new allegations have been added to this – commented Krzysztof Kwiatkowski.
– All this makes up an exceptionally depressing picture, which so far complements these Brussels escapades with university escapades in the country. This is the image of Ryszard Czarnecki – he added.

– Wherever Czarnecki tried to act, he always schemed and wanted to extract huge amounts of money – said Jakub Rutnicki from the Civic Coalition.
As he said, referring to the Collegium Humanum scandal, “it was the production of documents for the needs of PiS activists, so that they could very quickly and effectively occupy all the well-paid positions in the State Treasury company.”
