Ryszard Terlecki, deputy speaker of the Sejm and head of the PiS caucus, has recently spoken several times about the future of the coalition with Solidarna Polska. In one of the interviews, he stated that the coalition partner “is an increasing burden and it has to be solved somehow”. He added that in this matter he is “a supporter of radical solutions”. Jacek Dekora, a representative of Zbigniew Ziobro’s party, said that “the priority is to start with lists together”. – But if it turns out that together we will not be able to formulate the formula of the United Right, we will take up the gauntlet and run ourselves – he declared.

Deputy Speaker of the Sejm and head of the PiS caucus Richard Terlecki he was asked on February 9 on Radio Three about the words of the head of Solidarna Polska, the Minister of Justice and the Prosecutor General Zbigniew Ziobrowho stated that the day on which the deputies passed the amendment to the Courts Act and the Windmill Act is a “bad day for Poles”.

– First of all, this is a bad day for us, because this internal coalition partner, which is actually not a coalition partner, because this team was a candidate from our lists and then began to become independent, is an increasing burden and this must be resolved somehow. I am a supporter of radical solutions, i.e. not including our coalition partners on the lists, but my opinion is isolated for now, he declared.

When asked what his opinion is on the matter Jaroslaw KaczynskiTerlecki said that the president PIS thinks “we should go to the polls together.” – Indeed, it may add half a percent that we would lose if the coalition partner was not on our lists, but I suppose that we would gain a percentage, if voters saw that they were not (on the lists – ed.) – he said.

– In a word, it is difficult to assess at the moment, but I am definitely in favor of it – he noted. He explained that the president of the party “has a decisive voice here and makes strategic decisions” for the entire camp. – He probably already has a plan here, and some of us complain that it would be best to do without them – said Terlecki.

Earlier on January 4, Terlecki in an interview for PAP said that “both on our side and on the side of Solidarna Polska there are supporters of splitting up before the electionsand”.

Also earlier, Terlecki spoke about “problems with coalition partners”

Statements maintained in this tone had been uttered by Terlecki before.

On April 7, 2021, Terlecki admitted that PiS had “problems with coalition partners”. “I’m a radical here and I’d like to get rid of them,” he said.

In turn, on September 17, 2020, Terlecki, when asked if the coalition could break up, replied that a minority government was impossible. “If that’s the case, we’ll go to the polls.” Of course, they did, he said. At that time, Solidarna Polska led to the withdrawal of the so-called law on impunity in connection with the envelope elections.

TVN24 reporter Radomir Wit talked about Terlecki’s statements in the Sejm with Jacek Dekora, member of Solidarity Poland. – This is exactly the opinion of the Marshal, the Marshal is a person without whom politics would certainly be less colorful when it comes to his statements. We do not want to break up the right, perhaps the Marshal has a different opinion, but I think that the value of the United Right is obvious, he said.

Recalling Terlecki’s words that he does not want Solidarna Polska on the lists, but his opinion is isolated, Dekora replied that “the marshal’s opinion is isolated, that is, as if there is no problem in the majority.” “We sometimes differ on European issues, but that’s because we simply have a different approach to how to talk to Brussels,” he continued.

When asked if Solidarna Polska would get a lot of places on the lists, Dekor replied that “the priority is to start with the lists together”. – But if it turns out that together we will not be able to formulate the formula of the United Right, we will take up the gauntlet and run ourselves – he declared.

Zandberg: I see the right that hates each other

The case was also commented on by an opposition politician, co-chairman of the Left Together Adrian Zandberg. – I see the right wing that is in conflict, which for two years has not been able to agree on such a simple matter as accepting a transfer for 160 billion from the European Union (as part of the KPO – ed.), I see the right wing that hates each other, does not suffer “I don’t want to talk to you,” he said.

In his opinion, “it’s high time to just say goodbye to her.” – These are the last months of their rule, I think the last months of rule for many years, because if they are so quarreling that they can’t talk to each other, then it’s probably obvious that they shouldn’t rule the country.
