Politicians comment on the words of the Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Ryszard Terlecki, who suggested that Poland should look for “drastic solutions” in contacts with the European Union. “The British showed that the dictatorship of the Brussels bureaucracy did not suit them, they turned and left,” he added. In the opinion of opposition politicians, the deputy speaker does not rule out the possibility of Poland leaving the EU.

Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Ryszard Terlecki at the Economic Forum in Karpacz said that “we should think about how we can cooperate as much as possible, so that we can all be in the Union, but that this Union should be what it is acceptable to us.” – If it goes as it looks like it will, then we have to look for drastic solutions. The British showed that the dictatorship of the Brussels bureaucracy did not suit them and turned around and left. We do not want to go out (…), but we cannot get chased into something that will limit our freedom and something that will limit our organic development – said Terlecki.

Budka: step by step they take Poland out of the EU

The words of Terlecki were referred to, among others, by the MP and vice-chairman of the Civic Platform, Borys Budka. “For 6 years, the rulers have been hating the European Union, the president talks about an imaginary community, PiS introduces illegal changes in the media, judiciary and the prosecutor’s office,” he mentioned in his Twitter entry. “Little by little they are taking Poland out of the European Union. Today it is confirmed by Ryszard Terlecki. And suddenly I am surprised that polexit ?!” – He asked.

Janusz Lewandowski, MEP of the Civic Platform and former EU commissioner for budget said on Wednesday in “Facts after Facts” that he “treats” these “amazing words” “with great seriousness”.

– The Marshal of the Polish Sejm points us to Brexit as a model of behavior. I am curious where the marshal would like to lead Poland and himself. Probably in Dzikie Pola (Wild Fields), not on distant islands like Great Britain, far from Putin’s border with Russia – he commented.

Michał Szczerba, MP from the Civic Platform, stated that “they are consistently introducing the Russian order”. “No wonder they are not bothered by the presence of Lukashenka’s agents!” – added.

Grzegorz Schetyna, MP from the PO, said that “the statements of Ryszard Terlecki and Janusz Kowalski are to familiarize Poles with the arguments against our presence in the EU”. “We warned that their political madness would lead to polexit. And it is so. Those who have talked so much about Targowica are starting to implement it themselves” – he wrote on Twitter.

Krzysztof Brejza, Senator of the Civic Coalition, assessed that “Terlecki says what Kaczyński thinks.”

Magpie: Terlecki doesn’t think about Poland

The spokeswoman for the Alliance of Jaroslaw Gowin Magdalena Sroka wrote on Twitter that Terlecki “by threatening” to leave the EU does not think about Poland, but only cares about the polls of his beloved party. This is pure betrayal of the motherland. “

In turn, the MP for the Agreement, Michał Wypij, stated that “the camp, which in the name of ineffective reform strives for polexit, has no moral right to call itself a patriotic and pro-Polish camp”.
