The police, under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office, establishes the identity and explains the causes and circumstances of the death of a person whose remains were found on a private property in Rzeszów (Podkarpackie Province).

As sub-inspector Adam Szeląg, press officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Rzeszów, said in an interview with the tvn24.pl portal, the macabre discovery took place on Tuesday, February 14, in one of the private properties at Lubelska Street in Rzeszów. – The duty officer of the city command received a report about the discovery of human remains by an employee of one of the construction companies that was supposed to work in this area that day – a policeman told us.

The police recovered the incomplete skeleton

Before the workers started work, one of them came across human remains. – The investigation team sent to the site confirmed the report. The prosecutor was summoned to the scene and all police activities were carried out under his supervision, reports sub-inspector Adam Szeląg.

The place where the gruesome discovery was made was secured and thoroughly searched by officers. – The area where the remains were located was quite extensive, the police officers secured an incomplete skeleton – informed the press officer of the KMP in Rzeszów.

The police establish the identity of the deceased person. It is checked e.g. missing persons database. By decision of the prosecutor’s office, the remains have been secured and will be examined and tested. – The causes and circumstances of this person’s death will also be clarified – assured sub-inspector Adam Szeląg.
