A dangerous incident occurred at the airport in Rzeszów. A drunk man, who flew to Poland a moment earlier, lit a cigarette right next to the refueled plane. Border Guard officers had to intervene.

As second lieutenant Piotr Zakielarz from the Bieszczady Border Guard Unit informed journalists, officers from the Rzeszów-Jasionka facility had to intervene on Monday against a man who lit a cigarette on the tarmac – in close proximity to the plane that was just refueled.

– The man did not respond to orders given to him and behaved aggressively. It turned out that he was under the influence of alcohol, and he behaved extremely aggressively and vulgarly towards Border Guard officers from the Special Intervention Team. He insulted them in connection with their official activities – reported 2nd Lt. Herbalist.

Five thousand zlotys fine

He added that the man was subject to direct coercion measures, and then the policemen took him to the sobering-up center.

The detainee is a 40-year-old Pole, permanently living in London, who flew to Poland a moment earlier.

The man heard the accusation of insulting the officers during and in connection with the performance of their official duties, to which he admitted and voluntarily submitted himself to a fine of five thousand zlotys and undertook to apologize by letter to the uniformed officers. – He also accepted a fine in the amount of PLN 500 for smoking a cigarette on the apron at the airport – added a Border Guard officer.
