A 45-year-old man who kicked a passer-by without reason and broke his leg in the center of Rzeszów (Podkarpackie Voivodeship) faces up to five years in prison. According to the police, the man admitted his guilt. He did not provide the reasons for his behavior, but apologized to the injured party.

The incident took place at the end of December last year on Poniatowskiego Street in Rzeszów, but the police only informed about it now. According to the findings of the Rzeszów police, a 46-year-old resident of Rzeszów was kicked in the leg by an unknown man after leaving the store.

“The aggressor attacked a 46-year-old man for no reason. The injuries suffered by the injured party turned out to be very serious – his leg was broken. The man required hospitalization,” said Staff Aspirant Magdalena Żuk, spokeswoman for the Municipal Police Headquarters in Rzeszów.

They arrested the perpetrator. “He apologized to the injured party”

Criminal investigators determined that the perpetrator may be a 45-year-old man. They detained him on Monday (January 22). During interrogation at the police station, the attacker admitted his guilt and provided explanations. “He did not provide the reasons for his behavior, but he apologized to the injured party,” said spokeswoman Żuk.

The case files will now be sent to the District Prosecutor’s Office for the city of Rzeszów. Causing moderate or light bodily harm is punishable by up to five years in prison.
