From 2025, the amount of the gross minimum wage will increase: From January salary the minimum will reach PLN 4,666. The difference between the current one remuneration and next year it will be PLN 366 (currently PLN 4,300). It will be PLN 3,510.92 net. Tax advisor Małgorzata Samborska calculated that from next year Those earning the minimum wage will receive PLN 249 more “on hand”.
Some will gain, others will lose: Next year, the richest will receive less. How is this possible? The amount of the annual limitation of the basis for assessing pension and disability insurance contributions is due. After exceeding this limit, the payer is not obliged to pay contributions. However, increasing this threshold means that more people will “sign up” for mandatory social contributions.
This is how the limits will work: The amount of the limit for contributions ZUS depends on the forecast average salary. It is 30 times its size. The Minister of Family and Social Policy set it at PLN 8,673 in 2025. “Those earning over PLN 19,600 will receive lower net income due to the higher limit for ZUS contributions,” points out Małgorzata Samborska. She calculated that, for example, people earning PLN 22,000 PLN per month they will lose PLN 1,692 per year due to this change. That's PLN 141 less per month.
