The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate announced on Tuesday that a salmonella bacterium had been detected in a batch of sesame. Ingestion of the contaminated product is associated with the risk of food poisoning.
It is a batch L 210791V858 of KRESTO SEZAM, 500 g, with the consumption date until 30/09/2022. The producer is VOG Polska Sp. z o. o., ul. Przemysłowa 8, 96-100 Skierniewice; country of origin – Somalia.
As part of the public food alert, the GIS announced that the presence of Salmonella was detected during official testing in one of the five samples tested.
The company has started withdrawing the questioned batch of sesame from trade, it also informs its customers about the situation and the possibility of returning the product to suppliers. Sanitary inspection authorities oversee the recall process.
GIS recommends that you should not consume the product batch indicated in the message. You can also return the product to the store.
