Salmonella bacteria were detected in two batches. One of them was Toscana MixMetro Chef. Batch number: 22524H/13. Expiration date: 20.08.2024. Manufactured for Makro Cash and Carry Polska SA., al. Krakowska 61, 02-183 Warsaw.
The second product is Classic Salad MixLidl Market. Batch number: 22524. Expiration date: 20.08.2024. Manufactured for LIDL Sp. z o. o. Sp. k., Jankowice, ul. Poznańska 48, 62-080 Tarnowo Podgórne.
Risk of food poisoning
GIS emphasizes that consuming a product contaminated with Salmonella bacteria is associated with the risk of food poisoning. The announcement stated that the manufacturer immediately initiated the procedure for withdrawing the disputed batch from sale after receiving information about the product's non-compliance. Additionally, Lidl informed consumers about the possibility of returning the withdrawn batch in 400 g packages in any store of the chain without presenting a receipt. Posters about the ongoing withdrawal process were placed in stores where the batch was available and on the website. Official food control bodies are supervising the process of withdrawing the disputed batch from sale and are conducting explanatory proceedings in the matter. The manufacturer asks consumers who may have the product in question to return it to the store where it was purchased. In the event of disturbing symptoms after consuming the batch of the above-mentioned product, contact a doctor.
