The investigation into this case was conducted by the District Prosecutor's Office in Sanok. She brought charges against the man under Article 197, paragraph 3, point 2 of the Penal Code, 197 par. 2 of the Penal Code and Art. 191a par. 1 Penal Code

The first one concerns the rape of a minor under 15 years of age, the second one involves engaging in or undergoing “other sexual activity”, the third one concerns the recording of an image of a naked person without the person's consent.

“The proceedings in the case in question will be held in court in private, but the proceedings in this case have not yet been opened. The court extended the application of the preventive measure in the form of pre-trial detention against the accused,” said Marta Kolendowska-Matejczuk, spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor's Office, in a statement. in Krosno.

She added that “due to the need to protect the interests of minor victims and the exclusion of publicity in the case, no further information on the case will be provided.”

The man – as investigators reported at the beginning of March – was detained in connection with the situation that occurred in September 2023. He then allegedly ordered two 12-year-old female players of the athletics club where he was a coach to try on new sports clothes on their bare bodies. One of the girls in the locker room found a cardboard box with a hole in it and a camera inside.

The man was arrested after a few months. The time from September, when the incident took place, to March, when the 57-year-old was detained – as Wiktoria Domaradzka, the case's reporter, explained in an interview with tvn24.pl, was necessary for investigators to collect evidence that would allow the man to be charged.

She added that the suspect then exercised his right to refuse to provide explanations in the case.

The presidents of the club in which the detained 57-year-old was a coach, in a written statement issued immediately after the man's detention, assured that they had not known anything about the “information that has been circulating”. “They are also a big shock for us and our community,” they commented.

The principal of the school where the detained teacher taught physical education also commented on the matter in a short statement.

“(…) I am shocked by the situation. Actions have been taken on my part to suspend the teacher from his duties until the matter is clarified,” he said.

The City Hall in Sanok, which is the governing body of the primary school where the detained teacher taught, submitted to the Disciplinary Ombudsman for Teachers at the Podkarpackie Voivodeship to initiate explanatory proceedings against the school principal, who – according to local media – had previously failed to respond to signals. about the inappropriate behavior of the detained teacher, which was reported by the students.

The man resigned as director in July. As reported by the local portal esanok.pl, the reason was poor health, which made it impossible to run an educational institution.
