Sarah Jessica Parker Celebrates “Actual Friendship” With Willie Garson

A farewell to an icon.

Willie Garson, recognized for taking part in Carrie Bradshaw‘s BFF Stanford Blatch on Sex and the City, died on Sept. 21 following a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 57.

Following information of his dying, Sarah Jessica Parker took to Instagram on Friday, Sept. 24 to mourn her co-star and shut good friend. 

“It has been insufferable. Generally silence is an announcement. Of the gravity. The anguish. The magnitude of the lack of a 30 + 12 months friendship,” she wrote with a collage of pictures. “An actual friendship that allowed for secrets and techniques, journey, a shared skilled household, fact, concert events, highway journeys, meals, late night time cellphone calls, a mutual devotion to parenthood and all of the heartaches and pleasure that accompany, triumphs, disappointments, worry, rage and years spent on units (most particularly Carrie’s condominium) and laughing late into the night time as each Stanford and Carrie and Willie and SJ.”

Sarah continued, “Willie. I’ll miss every thing about you. And replay our final moments collectively. I’ll re-read each textual content out of your remaining days and put to pen our final calls. Your absence a crater that I’ll fill with blessing of those recollections and all those which are nonetheless in recesses but to floor.”
