About 650 people – students and employees of a comprehensive high school in Piła (Wielkopolskie Province) – were evacuated after an unexploded ordnance from World War II was found on a nearby construction site. The sappers took the dangerous item.
The unexploded ordnance was found during construction works carried out at the 1st Secondary School in Piła. The decision was made to evacuate about 600 students and 50 school staff.
