Firefighters extinguish a sawmill fire in Jordanów (Lesser Poland Voivodeship). According to them, when the first crews arrived at the scene, the fire was “well developed”. It has now been mastered.
The report was received by the officer on duty before 6 p.m. The fire broke out in the sawmill hall, measuring 50 by 50 meters. It also covered materials stored next to the hall.
– The fire has already been brought under control by firefighters, there are no injuries – said Hubert Ciepły, spokesman for the Małopolska State Fire Service. He added that when firefighters arrived, the fire “was well developed and the flames were clearly visible.” Water was supplied to the hall from eight sides.

Currently, the extinguishment and demolition of the burned elements are in progress. As our interlocutor announced, the activities will last at least a few more hours. There are about 70 firefighters on site.
