The court temporarily arrested the former deputy director of the National Centre for Research and Development, Hanna S., and entrepreneur Kamil C. for three months. The investigation into abuses at the NCBiR was initiated by the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw in March this year after notifying the Supreme Audit Office.

Hanna S., Kamil C. and Dawid E. stayed for a few days ago detained in an investigation into abuses at the National Center for Research and Development. The spokesman for the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw, Mateusz Martyniuk, said that the former deputy director of the National Center for Research and Development could have accepted bribes worth at least PLN 640,000.

Her criminal activity consisted in influencing people subordinate to her, as well as members of investment committees deciding on the awarding of grants by NCBiR, originating from the funds of the European Regional Development Fund, for fictitious projects.
