When asked by “Czarno na Białym” journalists about the government scandals of the last eight years, United Right politicians unanimously answer that there were no scandals. – You are not interested in what is needed, said PiS MP Waldemar Andzel. – Our predecessors had much more, but here there were none – said MP Barbara Dziuk. – What scandals? First time I’ve heard of it, said Jerzy Polaczek.

“For the last eight years…” – with these words, PiS politicians, many months after they took power in Poland in 2015, began listing the scandals that, according to them, broke out during the rule of the PO-PSL coalition. After two terms of the United Right government, the journalists of “Black and White” asked PiS politicians, including those who had just become number one on the electoral lists, to list the scandals that had occurred over the last eight years. Everyone agreed that there were no scandals.

“What kind of scandals? First I’ve heard of it”

– You are not interested in what is needed. (…) It has scandals civil Platform Let the previous PO-PSL authorities and the state deal with those scandals from TVN. (…) I don’t remember there being any very serious scandals (during the rule of the United Right – ed.), he said in response to questions from a “CnB” reporter. PiS MP Waldemar Andzel.

– I’m surprised by the question, I mean there wasn’t one – says another parliamentarian from the ruling party, Leonard Krasulski.

Tadeusz Cymański, when asked about this issue, answers: – Power scandals? Not interested in this. (…) If someone redeems, it is done by a specific prosecutor, in a specific prosecutor’s office, with a specific name and signature, and takes full responsibility for it. It’s not like he will have to answer for everything forever and ever if anyone asks him such a question. (…) Guilt must be proven indisputably in court. Until then, everyone can enjoy, hope, feel this innocence.

Jerzy Polaczek, PiS MP, says: – What scandals? Never heard about it. In turn, Jarosław Zieliński reacts: – Please be serious.

Kacper Płażynski, when asked about the scandals of the current government, replies that it is difficult for him to comment on such a general question. However, Marek Ast “is not able” to mention such scandals.

PiS politicians about “non-existent” scandals

Antoni Macierewicz, when asked about the issue of scandals, says that “this is a separate discussion.” – Yes, on the side of the authorities there has been and is constantly happening… the fight for independence – he claims.

Mariusz Gosek, from Sovereign Poland, says he “doesn’t know of such a scandal.” PiS MP Kazimierz Smoliński replies: – Well, you keep talking about it in the media. (…) Scandals are decided by the services and courts, I have not heard of any scandal ending with a court verdict according to the media.

Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk, Minister for European Affairs, claims that “over the last eight years, TVN has specialized in tracking down scandals, especially non-existent ones.” – Very often, these alleged scandals have little to do with reality – he says.

In turn, Marcin Warchoł, MP of Sovereign Poland, responds: – Please ask the Civic Platform why they brought Poland to the brink of ruin. He adds that currently “there are no scandals”.

MP Barbara Dziuk also refers to the government of the PO-PSL coalition. – There were many more in the predecessors, but there were none here – he claims.

Janusz Kowalski, MP of Sovereign Poland, says in response to the questions of the “Czarno na Białym” reporter: – But which (scandal – ed.) has not been settled? (…) The prosecutor’s office explains all this on an ongoing basis.

All PiS scandals

The authors of the report “Partia afer” recalled several of the most important cases that deserved to be called scandals. The material shows what actions the prosecutor’s office controlled by politicians from Poland took or refrained from taking in connection with them. Zbigniew Ziobro in the lead.

The report recalled, among others: elections envelopes, the Pegasus scandal, the e-mail scandal, the Daniel Obajtek scandal, the two towers scandal, the scandal at the National Center for Research and Development, the hate scandal or the scandal with the power plant in Ostrołęka.
