Tomasz Fornal stole the show after the Poland-USA match. “Poland on top!”

Even during the fourth set of the match, the Poles had their problems, but during one of the times of coach Grbić, Tomasz Fornal motivated them. “Give us f***, f***” – he shouted to his teammates, full of emotion and motivation for the rest of the competition. These words may not be suitable for quoting, but they will probably go down in the history of Polish volleyball.

The Poles, with a very large participation of Fornal, managed to turn the match around and won the clash 3:2, thanks to which they will play for the Olympic gold. The 26-year-old spoke again in the post-match Eurosport studio and stole the show again when he joined Norbert Huber.

– Luck smiled, my friend went here – said Huber, pointing at Fornal. Then the player recalled his words. – I don't remember what I said. What did I say? A…, that we have to f*** with them. Well, that's what I said – said Fornal, amused.

The 26-year-old had a verbal clash with his rival Micah Christenson during the match and explained after the match that the situation had already been resolved. “You know how it is. It's sport, I'm a bit… No, something had to be done and it worked. If I'm going to be in the final, maybe two or three Americans won't like me,” he added.

– I never doubted. Poland on top – Tomasz Fornal concluded and walked away from the cameras. Of course, he referred to the famous slogan of Mariusz Pudzianowski, who shouted this at strongman competitions and introduced the expression to pop culture.

The Poles will play in the final on Saturday, August 10 at 1:00 p.m., and their rivals will be the winners of the Italy-France clash, which is scheduled for Wednesday, August 7 at 8:00 p.m.
