Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport has canceled more than 300 flights scheduled for Wednesday, an airport spokesman said. The reason is the deterioration of weather conditions in the north of the Netherlands.

On Wednesday in the Netherlands Strong gusts of wind up to 120 km/h are expected. The local meteorology institute issued a storm warning – marked with the highest red color – for much of the country. “(…) a combination of strong wind, rain and poor visibility is expected. The latest weather forecast means very limited air traffic will be possible between 9.00am and 3.00pm. This means both arrivals and departures will be canceled and delayed.” – we read in the message on the website of Schiphol Airport.

About 300 connections were canceled, according to the ANP news agency. Among other things, it was canceled morning flight from the capital of the Netherlands to Warsaw, operated by KLM. The flight to Gdansk is scheduled to be delayed. According to the schedule, the plane was supposed to take off at 9.35, the new scheduled time is 10.30.
