British Transport Police are appealing for help in finding a man who allegedly stripped naked on a train on the Polmont-Edinburgh route. The authorities remind you what to do if you meet an exhibitionist.
The incident happened around 7.20am local time on April 20 on a train from Polmont to Edinburgh Waverley station in the capital Scotland. One of the passengers, after waking up, was to see a naked man sitting next to her, who later put on black running pants, a T-shirt and shoes. He got off the train in Edinburgh, Sky News reported.
The British Transport Police (BTP) have appealed to witnesses to come forward with information to help locate an unidentified man suspected of public indecent exposure. The officers quoted by the “Edinburgh Evening News” said that he is a person with short gray hair and a few days’ stubble, slim build, aged between 65 and 70.
What to do if you meet an exhibitionist
BTP advises on its website that if you notice a person exposing himself in public, look away and move away. If possible, do not show strong emotions, do not engage in conversation and report the incident to the authorities. The British Transport Police also suggests taking a photo, with the caveat to do so if it is “definitely safe”.
