Scotland earthquake: Second tremor in per week hits Highlands | UK Information

A second earthquake has hit Scotland’s Highlands in per week, with the newest tremor measuring 2.2.

The quake struck simply outdoors Roybridge, close to Spean Bridge, at 9.29pm on Friday evening.

The depth was recorded by the British Geological Survey (BGS) at 7.5km.

A spokesman for the organisation tweeted: “A small variety of experiences have been obtained by members of the general public within the Roybridge space indicating they felt this occasion.”

Earlier this week, a 3.1 magnitude earthquake hit the nation simply earlier than 2am on Tuesday.

The epicentre was 88 miles northwest of Glasgow, close to the city of Lochgilphead.
