The hospitality of the Pier 7 Hotel located in the Dutch city of Vlissingen was surprised when, entering the room on Tuesday evening, she found … a seal.
“The woman went with the dog for a walk on the beach, and when she returned, she saw two shiny eyes staring at her in the room,” Hotel Receptionist Heleen Wilmans said in an interview with the VRT portal. “At first she thought it was a dog or a cat until she saw the tail,” she added. The seal crept into the room, which was captured on the monitoring camera.

“I have never experienced anything like that”
The woman went to the reception for help. I sat on the couch when she called me. I couldn't believe what I was heard – said the receptionist. – We are used to regularly see seals, but for one to enter the room? I have never experienced something like that – she added.
“I know that the seal can bite a lot, so I told my colleague to immediately inform an ambulance for animals,” Heleen Wilmans said.
The relevant services arrived, captured the seal and released her. The animal was in good condition.
