There will be notifications to the prosecutor's office regarding very strange decisions that were made in the case of Poczta Polska – announced Sebastian Mikosz, president of Poczta Polska, in the program “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24. – It's a matter of weeks – he assured.
Sebastian Mikosz has been acting president of Poczta Polska since 15th February – on 25th March he was appointed by the supervisory board the president of the company. Asked in the program “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24 about the company's condition, he stated that the company “had reached the brink” and “had been brought by its predecessors to such a situation that it was necessary to take out a loan to pay salaries.”
– The losses amount to several hundred million złoty. Unfortunately, this trend continues this year. We have recorded a loss of over 300 million for the first half of the year, because we are not changing the company's structure – he admitted.
“Voluntary departures” from the Polish Post Office
Asked about the announcement of the layoff of 9,000 employees, he said: “we have proposed a voluntary redundancy program.” “We will choose the people to whom we propose it. These are not postmen,” he explained.
– We have a situation at the Post Office where operational employees work for bureaucracy – he added, pointing out that the company currently employs 62 thousand people. – Whether we are talking about a thousand or 15 thousand, it is always a lot – he stated, admitting that this information is a “sour pill”.

Mikosz said the program will offer an annual severance package. Employees who stay with the company will see their salaries increased.
– We are not an attractive employer today – he admitted. – To become more attractive, we need to change the organization of work, but also pay more for this work – he added.

The new president of Poczta Polska announced that “a whole series of audits” had been conducted in the company. “The final element will certainly be the referral of notifications to the prosecutor's office. We have several areas in which we have no choice,” he indicated.
