Up to eight years in prison threatens two Hungarian citizens who heard the objections of fraud. One, pretending to be a policeman, went to a 90-year-old resident of Sędziszów Lesser Poland (Podkarpackie) to pick up about 35 thousand. PLN for “saving a granddaughter”. The second, as a taxi driver, was waiting for a partner to drive away as soon as possible. It was then that both men fell into the hands of uniformed.
The police determined that in one of the houses in Sędziszów Małopolski there could have been fraud using the “granddaughter” method. When the uniforms went to the place, their attention was caught by a man who went to a taxi parked several dozen meters away.
It turned out to be a 39-year-old citizen Hungarian. He had a commercial with him, in which there was a significant amount of cash.

She believed that she was talking to a policeman on the phone
“Policemen also identified a taxi driver. The 33-year-old was also a Hungarian citizen and a colleague of the 39-year-old,” we read in a statement on the website of the Poviat Police Headquarters in Ropczyce.
The findings show that to a 90-year-old senior from Sędziszów Lesser Poland, a man who claimed a policeman and informed her that her grandson had an accident and to avoid punishment, a large amount of money was needed.

“The woman, being convinced that she was talking to the officer, prepared money. The senior was instructed that she was to give it to a man who would come PO, but she could not talk to him. When he appeared at her, the victim gave him about PLN 35,000,” the police informs.
Both men heard allegations of fraud. The court applied a preventive measure against them in the form of temporary detention for a period of three months. Suspects are threatened with up to eight years of imprisonment.
