I do not trust Szymon Hołownia, because he was one of the first people who wanted to support this law without amendments in December – said Borys Budka, head of the Civic Coalition club, after Friday’s vote on the amendment to the law on the Supreme Court. The KO club almost entirely abstained from the vote, while Polska 2050 Hołownia was against. – It is difficult for me to discuss the states of trust or distrust of Borys Budka. If he has any trouble trusting me, I cordially invite you to a personal conversation – answered Hołownia.

On Friday The Sejm adopted a draft of changes in the judiciary, which, according to its authors, is to enable the payment of funds to Poland from the National Reconstruction Plan. The amendment was supported by 203 MPs, 52 were against and 189 abstained from voting. The Civic Coalition Club almost entirely abstained from voting. In turn, MPs from Poland 2050 spoke against the act.

Budka: I don’t trust Szymon Hołownia

I will not comment on what he did Simon Holownia. Perhaps he was provoked, because PiS did everything to prevent this law from being passed today – said the head of the KO club after the vote Boris Budkacommenting on the opposition of Polish deputies 2050.

As he added, “today PiS tried to overturn the unblocking of money through the mouth of (Education Minister Przemysław – ed.) Czarnek and others.” – For two years we have been fighting in the Sejm, but also in the European Parliament, for money for Poland. PiS is doing everything to block this money. Since the European Commission claims that this bill unlocks this money, we say “I check” – he noted.

He announced that the majority of the Senate would table amendments to the bill. – Today’s vote and blocking this bill due to the fact that PiS did not have a majority, would deprive Poland of chances for European funds, and at the same time would give PiS arguments that it is because of the opposition that these funds are not available. Absolute mistake. We control the Senate legislative processWe will make these changes, he said.

When asked whether he trusts Poland 2050 regarding joint arrangements in the future, Budka replied: “No, I do not have such confidence.” – I do not have such confidence in Szymon Hołownia, because he was one of the first people who wanted to support this bill without amendments in December – he added.

Hołownia: Borys Budka is not true

– It is difficult for me to discuss the states of trust or distrust of Borys Budka. If he has any trouble trusting me, I cordially invite you to a personal conversation, then we will definitely clarify our doubts – commented Szymon Hołownia. As he added, “Borys Budka is not telling the truth when he says that we were the first to come, expecting that the vote would be yes and no otherwise.”

The leader of Poland 2050 said that he personally contacted the leaders of opposition groups in advance, informing them about plans to vote against the bill. – I understand that the opposition partners assessed the risk differently in this case, it is their right. We retain our right to assess the risks associated with this case in this way – he said.

Hołownia: it’s hard for me to argue with Borys Budka’s confidence or distrustTVN24

I haven’t lost my trust either Donald Tuskneither to Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, nor to Włodzimierz Czarzasty or the leaders of the Left, and I still believe that we should cooperate on matters important for Poland, he said.

– We know very well how much money from the National Reconstruction Plan is needed today by Poles. We did everything, and even more, so that this money could be found in Polish companies, in Polish local governments, in Polish homes – explained Hołownia after the vote.

He added that “we are convinced that we voted well”. – We will continue to do everything – both on the European and Polish forum – to ensure that this money goes to Poland legally as soon as possible. We will, together with other opposition groups, amend this bill in the Senate. We will appeal to the president. We will talk with our partners from Europe. The money from KPO belongs to Poles and should have come to us a long time ago, but this act is not a means that will provide this money to Poles, he announced.
