The guests of Friday’s edition of the “#BezKitu Campaign” on TVN24 were the two youngest members of the Sejm of the 10th term.
24-year-old Adam Gomoła (Trzecia Droga) won 21,923 votes in constituency no. 21 (Opole). In turn, 29-year-old Aleksandra K. Wiśniewska (Civic Coalition) in district no. 9 (Łódź) obtained 25,436 votes.
In the program, they shared their impressions from the first session of the Sejm, which took place on Monday and Tuesday.
Wiśniewska: what the United Right showed was an aberration
– I must admit honestly that what we saw during this first sitting of the Sejm was an absolute breakdown of the culture of parliamentarism – said Wiśniewska. – And I think that we should not treat it as a status quo, where MPs can come to the Sejm and take part in the debate so disturbed, in the worst physical, mental and spiritual shape, but we should really strive for the highest possible standards of parliamentarism – she added .
As she emphasized, “what was shown especially by the United Right in the rank of minister, Minister Ziobro and Minister Czarnek, was simply an aberration.”
– Paradoxically, I felt a bit like in a book from Kafka’s literature and a combination of it with a political thriller and such satirical fragments from Mr. Bean – she described. As she pointed out, “it was just a bit surreal, but at the same time it shows how much we, the young generations, have to do.”

Gomoła: a lot has changed, but a lot still needs to change
Gomoła pointed out that despite only one session in the Sejm, a lot had changed. – But a lot still has to change, a lot of this culture has to simply return there – he emphasized. – We already have one good symptom, namely the head of this Sejm, the marshal, has changed. And here I have high hopes for it, he added.
At the same time, he noted that “some of these hopes have already come true.” – When I came to the meeting on Tuesday morning and saw the lack of barriers near the Sejm, my heart melted – he said.
– I really felt then that it was worth the effort and it was worth fighting, because these are symbolic changes, but they show that the Sejm can again become an open, transparent institution, accessible to everyone, not only to politicians, but also to the media, for non-governmental organizations, I hope also for young people – he added.

Declarations of young politicians regarding projects regarding abortion
TVN24 guests also commented on two bills regarding abortion that were submitted to the Sejm by the Left. The first is a project to decriminalize assisting in abortion, and the second – legal abortion on demand up to the 12th week of pregnancy.
The MP from the Civic Coalition emphasized that this was “extremely important”. – And just as I think that the open coalition agreement was a huge achievement, personally for me, as a woman in the Sejm who also spoke a lot about women’s rights during the campaign, it was difficult and painful that the left-wing parties failed in the agreement itself. and the Civic Coalition to strengthen the provision on abortion – said Aleksandra Wiśniewska.
At the same time, she emphasized that “the coalition agreement has a slightly different character.” – Of course, she gives a certain direction, which is important, but as a woman, I can declare to my colleagues, friends and sisters that I will fight for it (liberalization of abortion – ed.) – she added.
Adam Gomoła stated that “the dispute that is going on today regarding abortion is whether we will take two or three steps forward towards liberalization.” – The first thing we should do is return to compromise. Secondly, I would really like us to call a referendum on this matter so that the voice of Polish women and men can be heard – he said.
He added that he believed so for two reasons. – First of all, I am afraid that in any other variant, even if this bill passes the Sejm, it will be vetoed by the president. Andrzej Duda. And secondly, I know that this will be a vote that this Sejm and subsequent ones will not be able to question, he noted.
Gomoła announced that “until we receive this vote, we will hold a abstaining vote in all projects that go further towards liberalization than the abortion compromise that was in place before October 2020.”
Later in the program, questions were asked to the guests by representatives of the young generation: activist Kamila Grudniewska, Marta Marczuk (Lat Twenties agency), the chairman of the Youth Council of the Bemowo District of the Capital City of Warsaw, Mikołaj Ojrzanowski and Mateusz Ligenza from the Campus Polska Foundation. Among the issues raised were: elections to the European Parliament, youth policy and support for youth councils.

In the next part of the “#BezKitu Campaign”, Katarzyna Kwiatkowska, the president of the Association of Prosecutors “Lex Super Omnia”, spoke about the situation in the prosecutor’s office.
– The latest amendment to the Law on the Prosecutor’s Office, which entered into force on September 28, resulted in the prosecutor general transferring very important competences to the national prosecutor – she emphasized.

As she pointed out, “these were competences in the substantive and disciplinary scope, as well as those related to the functioning of the prosecutor’s office.” – If this amendment actually came into force, then the prosecutor general could only be the proverbial guardian of the chandelier, because he would not have any competences allowing him to manage the prosecutor’s office – she added.
