Marshal Hołownia announced that his dream is for the Sejm, and therefore the Chancellery, to be more open to citizens – Jacek Cichocki, who will soon become the head of the Sejm Chancellery, said on TVN24.
The current head of the Chancellery of the Sejm, Agnieszka Kaczmarska, resigned. The information was confirmed on Wednesday in “Kropka nad i” by the Marshal of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia.
Jacek Cichocki is now to be the new head of the law firm. – He is a man in whom I trust and a man about whom, next to Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, I can say that he is an absolutely crystal-clear man, extremely honest and a type of stateman – said Hołownia on TVN24.

The Sejm Rules Committee is to give an opinion on the motion to appoint Cichocki next Tuesday at 10 a.m.
Cichocki about his first tasks
Jacek Cichocki commented on the change in the position of head of the Chancellery of the Sejm on Thursday in an interview with TVN24 reporter Maja Wójcikowska.
– Marshal Hołownia has already announced that his dream is for the Sejm, and therefore the Chancellery, to be more open to citizens, more accessible to journalists, so that you can inform Poles about what is happening here, what is being worked on works, he said.
He also pointed out that “very interesting things are happening in the Sejm.” – It’s just about talking about it calmly and substantively – he added.
He also mentioned the protests of people with disabilities and their carers. – These stories should not happen again – he said. – Even if there are protests, we will try to enter into dialogue and conversation with the protesters to provide them with appropriate conditions so that they can meet either the marshal or the MPs – he assured.
When asked about his first goals and tasks for his first month as head of the Sejm Chancellery, Cichocki noted that “we have the state budget to prepare, but also the chancellery budget.”
– The first goal is to get acquainted with the budget, review it, get to know it and propose it to the new government for submission, which will be prepared – he described.
Hołownia will talk to journalists. “Conversation, not imposing solutions”
Cichocki noted that today at Wiejska Street there will be a “very interesting meeting between the Marshal” and representatives of journalists, in which he himself will participate.
He explained that the meeting was organized to “talk about the needs of the journalistic community.” – I will represent representatives of officials working in the office to develop solutions for everyone, possible and convenient to work, so that you can fulfill your role for citizens, and the officials can work peacefully – described Cichocki. – This is happening today, it will be a conversation, not imposing any solutions right away – he summed up.

Who is Jacek Cichocki?
Jacek Cichocki was Szymon Hołownia’s chief of staff elections presidential elections in 2020.
In 2008-15 he worked in governments Donald Tusk and Ewa Kopacz. Until 2011, he was a minister in the prime minister’s office and secretary of the College for Secret Services. Then he became Minister of Internal Affairs and at the same time coordinated the secret services. From 2013, he was the head of the prime minister’s office, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers and head of the team for programming the government’s work.
