Sejm. Marshal Szymon Hołownia on plans for Tuesday: voting on the election of members of the National Council of the Judiciary

Marshal of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia announced a break in the first session of the Sejm on Monday evening. The continuation of the meeting was initially planned for Tuesday, from 16.

After the sitting of the Sejm, there was a meeting of the Presidium of the Sejm and the Convention of Seniors. When asked by journalists on Monday evening in the Sejm about the decisions of the Presidium of the Sejm and the Seniors’ Convention, Hołownia said that on Tuesday at The Sejm session that started on Monday will continue at 16.

– We will vote on it choice deputies and secretaries of the Sejm, we will vote on the election of members of the National Council of the Judiciary on behalf of the Sejm. I hope that we will elect a committee for regulations and parliamentary affairs and will begin the process of appointing a parliamentary ethics committee, emphasized the Marshal of the Sejm.

He added that “other processes will also be initiated related to the constitution of committees in the Sejm.” – I have set a deadline for nominating members of the State Tribunal whom we would like to elect next week – said Hołownia.

He emphasized that the Sejm must also elect a member of the State Commission on Pedophilia to fill the vacant seat, “so that the Sejm can elect its chairman.” – There are a lot of these things, but we went through the Presidium unanimously. It will be a busy vote tomorrow, actually, presenting the candidates and voting – said the Marshal of the Sejm.

– It is good that the next part of this session, because it will be the same session of the Sejm, should take place next Tuesday. And so we made preliminary arrangements with the Presidium of the Sejm and the Convention of Seniors, said Hołownia.
