Law and Justice MP Marek Zagórski announced his resignation from the parliamentary mandate. The information was confirmed by the PiS Polish Press Agency. The politician is to take the position of president of the National Food Group. In the past, he was, among others, the Minister of Digitization.

Information about Zagórski’s resignation from the mandate PiS MP i.pl and Interia were the first to report. Marek Zagórski informed Interia that on Friday he would resign from his mandate as an MP.

Marek Zagórski was in 2006-2007 Secretary of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in 2015-2016 Secretary of State in the Ministry of Treasury, in 2016-2018 Secretary of State in the Ministry of Digitization, in 2018-2020 Minister of Digitization, then in in 2020–2021, secretary of state at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. In 2019, Marek Zagórski was elected MP in constituency no. 18 covering Siedlce, where he received 9,143 votes. He also held the mandate of an MP in the years 2001-2005 and 2015-2019.
