Yesterday, the president took the oath at the Presidential Palace government without a majority by Mateusz Morawiecki. The Prime Minister is to present an exposé to the Sejm within 14 days with a request for a vote of confidence. Government spokesman Piotr Mueller said on Polsat News that it will most likely be presented on December 11.

  • Mariusz Błaszczak was sworn in yesterday by President Andrzej Duda as the head of the Ministry of National Defense, even though he announced just three days ago that he would not be in the government.

    Błaszczak, asked today on Radio One about these events, claimed that “the idea of ​​continuation won.” – I will continue everything we started in 2015, but of course I also listen to the demands of the opposition, especially the Third Way – he said.

  • The co-chairman of the New Left, deputy speaker of the Sejm, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, commented on the announcement of the government spokesman regarding Mateusz Morawiecki’s expose in “Rozmowa Piaseckiego” on TVN24.

    – So they didn’t surprise us with anything, actually – he said. – It follows that when it comes to the European Union, Prime Minister (Donald) Tusk will represent us – he added.

    Czarzasty referred to the events in Brussels, where the European Union-Western Balkans summit will be held on December 13, and the European Council meeting on December 14 and 15.

  • Hołownia announced last week that he would meet with Morawiecki this week.

    He explained that he would like to invite you to a meeting when Morawiecki’s “status” will be clarified – whether he is “the outgoing prime minister, a candidate for prime minister, or the prime minister who will have a two-week government.”

    – This will most likely be within the final two-week deadline specified in the constitution, and then the Prime Minister will present the expose, i.e. on Monday in two weeks – he explained.

    He emphasized that this was still to be agreed with the Speaker of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia. – Who I hope will meet with the prime minister, at least to discuss the bills that the government has presented and which we will present within two weeks – Mueller said.
