The three-day session of the Sejm will begin today. MEPs will listen to President Andrzej Duda's speech on the occasion of the anniversary of the parliamentary elections.
According to the preliminary agenda, on Wednesday, MPs will listen to President Andrzej Duda's speech. It is expected to last 45 minutes.
Last week, the head of the president's office, Marcin Mastalerek, announced that the president wanted to deliver a speech on the anniversary of the parliamentary elections, on October 15.
The Speaker of the Sejm, Szymon HoÅ‚ownia, also informed the president about this intention – he noted that there was no planned session of the house on October 15 and suggested that the president deliver the speech on Wednesday, October 16, at the beginning of the 20th session of the Sejm.
Three-day session of the Sejm
The Chamber will work, among others, on a draft amendment to the Act on Anti-Terrorist Activities and the Act on the Internal Security Agency and the Foreign Intelligence Agency.
The project concerns the adaptation of Polish law to the provisions of the European Union regarding counteracting the dissemination of terrorist content on the Internet.
MPs will also deal with a project on an honorary benefit for turning 100 years of age.
The Sejm is also to consider motions to consent to criminal prosecution of MPs: Joanna Mucha, Marek Sowa and Zbigniew Dolata.
