Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., informed “The Brian Kilmeade Present” Wednesday that Gen. Mark Milley’s testimony earlier than the Senate Armed Companies Committee “was a catastrophe for the White Home” as a result of it is “more and more clear” President Biden “ignored warnings” about what would occur in Afghanistan if U.S. troops absolutely withdrew.

BEN SASSE: Clearly, yesterday’s listening to was a catastrophe for the White Home as a result of it is more and more clear that President Biden simply ignored warnings. I knew of the warnings from the intelligence neighborhood. However, you realize, most of us assumed that what the generals had been saying in non-public was in keeping with that. And the generals and the intel people gave clear warnings to the White Home and the president determined to disregard them after which simply lie about it. And so yesterday, I feel what occurred is you noticed the generals instantly contradict President Biden’s statements. 

The president mentioned that no person advisable that he depart the two,500 troops. And the generals mainly mentioned, yeah, truly, we did. That’s what we advisable. So I feel we noticed each Normal McKenzie and Normal Austin Miller, amongst a complete host of different advisers, suggest to the Biden administration that they wanted to keep up these 2,500 troops in Afghanistan. And Normal McKenzie flatly admitted below oath yesterday that that’s what he mentioned. And the president simply lied about it repeatedly.
