Police officers from Serock stopped the driver of a Renault for a road check; it turned out he was wanted and had a court ban on driving. The man was detained and then taken to prison, in accordance with the issued order to bring him in. The 42-year-old will also be held responsible for violating the court ban.
On Tuesday at approximately 10 p.m. a patrol from the Police Station in Serock stopped the driver of a Renault – a 42-year-old resident of Warsaw – for a road check.
“A check in police databases showed that he was wanted on the basis of two warrants to be brought to prison. The first warrant was issued by the court in Legionowo, and the second by the District Court for Warsaw Å»oliborz. The 42-year-old was sentenced to a total sentence of 10 months and 20 days of imprisonment. The resident of the capital also has a court-ordered driving ban,” we read on the website of the District Police Headquarters in Legionowo.
A night in police custody and over 10 months in prison
The 42-year-old was arrested and spent the night in police custody. The next day, he was transported in a police convoy to a prison, where he will remain for the next few months. The man will also be held accountable for failing to comply with a court-imposed driving ban.
He faces five years in prison.
