Thursday, February 20 is the day when the fate of promotion to the 1/8 finals will be resolved, both in the European League and the European Conference League. On this day, the teams fighting in the playoffs play a rematch. One of them took place at the stadium in Norway. FK Bodo/Glimt has taken FC Twente. And this Dutch team was in a better situation. In the first clash she won 2: 1. The rematch abounded in many emotions, and above all the twists of action. We were witnessing the largest number of them at the end of the basic game time. Hardly anyone would expect such a scenario.
The first half to forget for Bodo/Glimt. But what happened in the second went down in history
Bodo/Glimt went to attack from the first minutes, but the beginning of the match did not work out his way. Already in the 26th minute the loss in a two -legged rivals increased. Fredrik Sjovold tried to knock out the ball, but he did it so unfortunate that he stuck it into his own net. And that was the smallest punishment, because a moment earlier there was a risk that the judge dictated a penalty for Twente for playing with his hand. Ultimately, however, the referee did not decide on such movements.
Bodo/Glimt did not be discouraged after losing the goal and tried to be aligned, but in the first half he did not score any goal. He scored in the 56th minute. The author was Kasper Hogh, who turned the penalty kick into a goal. The hosts fought further to even out the condition of the two, but their efforts failed.
Rollercoaster at the end of the second half. Three hits in four minutes. Extra time has decided
And when it seemed that the Norwegian team would say goodbye to the games, Twente reached out. This situation initiated an absolutely crazy series of events. What exactly happened? In the second minute of the added time, Mees Hilgers repeated Sjovold's “feat” and also put the ball into his own net. Therefore, there was a balance in a two -sight (3: 3). But this is how this meeting did not end.
Bodo/Glimt followed the blow and two minutes later it came to the lead. All thanks to Brice Wembangomo, who shot from the edge of the penalty area. The goalkeeper was helpless. The hosts won 3: 1 in this meeting, and 4: 3 in a two -legged one. Bodo/Glimt fans were shocked. Even three minutes ago they said goodbye to the games, and now they faced a great chance for promotion.

Only that the judge did not finish this meeting. It worked to the disadvantage of the hosts. Because in the sixth minute of added time another goal was scored. This time for Twente, which sensationally leveled thanks to Steijna Sema. The judge still had doubts and checked on Vara if there was a foul at an earlier stage of the action. Bodo/Glimt prayed that it was so, but the referee recognized the goal. And so there was extra time.
In the next 30 minutes of competition, the hosts put a dot over “and”, used the relaxation and distraction of their rivals, scoring two more goals, one of which … about fate … she was suicidal. Ultimately, the match ended with a 5: 2 result.
