The pop star Shakira was hospitalized in Peru because of stomach problems. The Colombian singer had to cancel her concert in the capital of Lima. “Doctors who look after me told me that I don't feel good enough to perform tonight,” she wrote.
“I am sorry that I have to inform you that yesterday evening I had to go to the ambulance because of my stomach problems and I am currently in the hospital,” Shakira wrote in her post.

Crowds greeted her at the airport
The Colombian singer came to Lima on Saturday. It was her first visit to Peru for over a decade. The films posted on her account show hundreds of fans welcoming her at the airport.
Another performance of the singer in Lima is scheduled for Monday.
“I hope that tomorrow I will feel better and that they will release me from the hospital as soon as possible, so that I can appear in the show that I prepared for you all,” Shakira wrote in the post.
