The search for the missing 35-year-old Izabela Parzyszek, who disappeared on the A4 motorway, is ongoing. The District Prosecutor's Office in Bolesławiec has decided to open an investigation. It will be conducted under the article concerning the deprivation of liberty of another person. Investigators emphasize that this is a preliminary qualification and that they are considering various scenarios.
It's been 10 days since Izabela Parzyszek mysteriously disappeared. The woman was driving from Bolesławiec to Wrocław. She was supposed to pick up her father from the hospital, but she never arrived. It's known that she called her father and told him that her car had broken down. Then the contact was lost. Only the car was found on the A4 route, near Kwiatów. It was parked on the emergency lane with its hazard lights on.
The case is being handled by the Bolesławiec police, and now also by the local prosecutor's office. – Today, the District Prosecutor's Office in Bolesławiec received materials regarding the activities carried out by the police in the case of the disappearance of Izabela P. Unfortunately, these materials do not provide any significant circumstances that would provide grounds for accepting any specific version as the most credible. After analyzing the files, the prosecutor decided to initially open an investigation into Article 189, paragraph 1 of the Penal Code, which concerns the deprivation of liberty of another person. This is one of the possible versions – Ewa Węglarowicz-Makowska, spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Jelenia Góra, told TVN24.
What is known about the car that the missing woman was driving?
As indicated by the prosecutor's office, it was established beyond any doubt that immediately after Mrs. Izabela's phone call to her father, he decided to help his daughter and asked his friends to tow the car away. – When these people arrived at the scene, it turned out that the car had hazard lights on and was locked. They informed the father about this, he asked them to call a tow truck and transport the vehicle to his place of residence. And so it happened. There, police officers together with a forensic technician inspected the car, and a phone belonging to Izabela P. was secured – the prosecutor said.
An important fact in this case is the technical condition of the vehicle. After all, the woman claimed in her last phone conversation that there had been a breakdown. – The engine was started and it started, but at the moment we cannot say that the vehicle was technically sound and suitable for driving. It is necessary to appoint an expert in the field of automotive engineering, who will inspect the car, conduct a technical inspection and determine whether it was suitable for further driving – said Węglarowicz-Makowska.
“All versions are credible at the moment”
It is also known that the police have already questioned the husband of the missing woman and witnesses. They are not talking about the details of these activities due to the good of the proceedings. The spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Jelenia Góra emphasized that search and operational activities should still be carried out.
– It is about identifying people who could have seen Izabela P. on the highway or after she was reported missing. These people will be questioned as witnesses and this will allow us to accept one credible version of the event. At the moment, there are several versions, one is that she could have been kidnapped, another that she could have escaped, and yet another version could be murder or suicide. All versions are equally credible at the moment – indicated the prosecutor.
According to investigators, the place where Ms. Izabela stopped may indeed indicate technical problems with the car. The prosecutor's office confirmed that there were no keys or documents in the missing woman's car.
Any information may be important for investigators.
