During a walk in the Old Town, the family got separated and relatives reported the disappearance of a 16-year-old girl with autism. A description of the missing girl has been sent out. The search was ongoing when one of the residents called.
On Sunday, December 1, around 6:30 p.m., the number 986 received an alarming report about a missing teenager in the Old Town. A girl with autism spectrum disorder, while walking around Castle Square, at one point became separated from her family and disappeared from her relatives' sight.
“When a person goes missing, a report with his description is sent to all patrols on duty at that moment. This was also the case this time. When guards from the 1st Regional Department were searching the area, the number 986 received a report from a resident about a girl behaving unusually on Świętojańska Street. Immediately The nearest patrol went there and confirmed that it was the teenager they were looking for,” the Warsaw City Guard said in a statement.

The operator contacted the teenager's parents and after a few minutes the missing girl was already in their arms. “The young guards taking part in this intervention emphasized that it was the most moving intervention in their work so far,” it added.
