In the US state of Arizona, an investigation is underway into the death of a Wells Fargo employee who came to the office on Friday morning and was found dead at her desk four days later, the British newspaper “Guardian” reported.
Local media reported that authorities believe 60-year-old Denise Prudhomme entered her Wells Fargo office building in Tempe, Arizona, at 7 a.m. on Aug. 16.

On Aug. 20, building security called the police, AZ Family reported. In an anonymous interview with 12News, an employee said a colleague was walking through the building when he found Prudhomme dead at her desk in her cubicle, the Guardian reported.
He added that upon arrival at the scene, officers pronounced Prudhomme dead at 4:55 p.m. 12News reported that Prudhomme’s cubicle was on the third floor, off the main hallway.
The employee who spoke to 12News added that many people had complained about the odor, but he assumed it was due to plumbing issues.
Another employee told the site: “It's really heartbreaking and I think to myself, what if I had just sat there? No one would have checked? When I found out she was sitting at her desk like that, it made me sick. No one did anything. That's how she spent her last moments.”
Meanwhile, in a statement to 12News, a Wells Fargo spokesperson said, “We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our Tempe office colleague. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time. Counselors through our Employee Assistance Counseling Service are available to support our employees. We are fully cooperating with the Tempe Police Department in their investigation and will refer any further questions to them.”

Police said the initial investigation found no evidence of foul play. The Tempe Police Department's Bureau of Criminal Investigation is currently working with the Maricopa County Medical Examiner to determine the cause of Prudhomme's death, the Guardian reported.
