The shooting broke out at a neighborhood event in the south of the city where several hundred people gathered, Fox News reported. According to witnesses, “20-30 shots were fired”.

“We won’t stop until we find you – and we will find you”

Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott described the incident as “a reckless, cowardly act that permanently changed many lives and cost two lives.” “This event is held in Brooklyn every year,” he told CNN. “People were celebrating and then at some point there were gunshots and of course they were trying to run away, to get out of there.”

Earlier, Scott said the tragedy “highlights the impact and the need to deal with the excessive proliferation of illegal weapons on our streets and the ability of those who shouldn’t have them to get their hands on them.”

Scott and police officers have urged anyone with information to come forward and help find those responsible. The mayor also said he was mobilizing all available resources to assist with the investigation.

His message to the perpetrator was as follows: – We will not stop until we find you – and we will find you.

“Until then, I hope that with every breath you take, you’ll think about the lives you’ve taken and the lives you’ve influenced,” he added.
