An off-duty Gliwice police officer noticed a video on social media of a man running away with a cardboard box in his hands. Suspecting a theft, he set out to find the man in the video.

Senior Constable Patryk Boroń was browsing the internet when he saw a surveillance video from the district he was currently in. The video showed an unknown man with a carton of coffee in his hands, running through one of the gardens in Knurów.

According to the police, “the man's behavior clearly indicated that he had not purchased the goods legally.” Boroń came to the same conclusion after checking the date and place where the recording was made and the man's appearance, and then went on a search.
