He took advantage of elderly and helpless people, for whom he opened bank accounts and took out loans. He turned it into a permanent source of income, the Siedlce police inform. The 37-year-old has been charged with 39 charges so far, and this is probably not the end.
It started with information received by police officers from the police station in Skórzec, Masovia, about a loan taken out for an elderly resident of one of the towns in the Domanice commune. He was also allegedly robbed and lost a significant amount of money.
They reached the robbery
– The 71-year-old confirmed this in a conversation with the police, but was unable to logically explain the entire situation or determine the value of the losses. According to the officers, the perpetrator allegedly took the victim's ATM card and used it to make numerous withdrawals and non-cash transactions worth almost PLN 9,000. They identified the perpetrator of the theft and detained a 37-year-old man and his 35-year-old friend, who hid the perpetrator's phone under his clothes during the arrest – says in a statement comm. Documents hidden in the garage
During a search of the residential and utility premises occupied by the 37-year-old, the police found a stolen ATM card, which he hid in an unused garage, along with other documents, including agreements on opening bank accounts and agreements on loans for over PLN 20,000. There was also an ID card and documents of another person who may also be injured in this case.

– From the information collected so far, the officers have determined that the 37-year-old, taking advantage of the situation of older and helpless people, made it a permanent source of income and support. The evidence collected so far in this case has allowed the 37-year-old man to be charged with 39 charges, and more are expected – adds police officer Ewelina Radomyska.
