In Lipsk County, the driver of an Opel hit a police car during a police chase. According to the police, the 40-year-old was drunk and had a driving ban.
The spokeswoman of the District Police Headquarters in Lipsk, aspirant Monika KarasiĆska, said that a few days ago, on one of the streets of Sienna, located in the Lipsk district, the uniformed officers tried to stop an Opel for inspection.
– Despite the light and sound signals, the driver of the vehicle started to run away. Ultimately, while trying to stop him, he collided with a police car, the spokeswoman reported.
Police: the driver of the Opel was drunk
A 40-year-old man was sitting behind the wheel of the Opel. A breathalyzer test showed that he had close to the permille of alcohol in his body. It also turned out that the man had a three-year driving ban.
The 40-year-old was detained in police custody. Now he will answer to court for the crimes he committed, and he may be sentenced to up to 5 years in prison.
