Tragic accident in Sionna near Siedlce (Mazowieckie). After a head-on collision between two passenger cars, one person died and two were injured. A three-year-old child with head injuries was taken to hospital. National road number 2 towards Warsaw is blocked.
The press officer of the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Siedlce, Junior Brigadier Paweł Kulicki, told tvnwarszawa.pl that the report already indicated that it was a serious accident.
– There was a head-on collision between two passenger cars. We received information that two people were trapped. Access was made to them. On site, a doctor confirmed the death of a woman from one of the vehicles. There was also a three-year-old child in that car, who is conscious, with head injuries, and is under the care of the emergency medical team – the firefighter told us. – A person from the second vehicle was also injured – he added.
As he pointed out, the road is completely blocked in this place. “A detour is organized only for passenger cars Bojmie-Polaki” – the Siedlce police reported on social media. The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways reported that a detour via local roads has been designated, and the difficulties may last until 5 p.m.
