A Sopot court sentenced a man who threatened Donald Tusk and his family. Selector MichaĆ Probierz announced call-ups for the November matches of the Polish national football team. In turn, the CBA arrested the former head of the Warsaw appellate prosecutor’s office. Here are six things to know on November 10.
1. Man convicted of threatening Tusk
The District Court in Sopot sentenced 43-year-old MichaĆ B. to 10 months of restriction of liberty with the obligation to perform 20 hours of community service a month unpaid. He also imposed a restraining order Donald Tusk and his family and an apology to the politician.
The man sent an e-mail in which he threatened the head of the Civic Platform and members of his family. The judgment is invalid.

2. Former appellate prosecutor detained by the CBA
Zygmunt K., head of the Warsaw appellate prosecutor’s office in 2001-2004, was detained on Tuesday by Central Anticorruption Bureau – TVN’s “Superwizjer” found out. On Thursday, at the request of the National Prosecutor’s Office, the court arrested him for three months.

His daughter was detained together with the former appellate prosecutor. As journalists learned unofficially, they were both charged with fraud. The office of the spokesman for the Central Anticorruption Bureau does not provide further information, referring to the National Prosecutor’s Office. However, she remains silent for now.
3. Cryptocurrency mining facility in the NSA building
Devices with high computing power used in cryptocurrency trading were discovered at the headquarters of the Supreme Administrative Court in Warsaw. The place where they were hidden was indicated by a court technical employee who was previously associated with an external company responsible for the technical service of the building.

The investigation is being conducted by the prosecutor’s office, and the Internal Security Agency has also been notified about the incident.
4. NASA launched a rocket into the center of the aurora
On Wednesday night, with the aurora borealis visible in the sky over Alaska, NASA launched a rocket from the Poker Flat Test Site. The moment of take-off was not chosen by accident – the vehicle had a set of measuring instruments collecting data on the phenomenon, without which the auroras would not exist. In recent days, high solar activity has contributed to the creation of a beautiful spectacle also in the Polish sky.
The aim of the mission, called Dissipation, is to investigate how charged particles of the solar wind dissipate energy in the high layers of the Earth’s atmosphere. They play an important role in shaping space weather. Its forecasting is important for satellite operators, navigation systems and energy networks – excessive activity of solar wind particles may disrupt their operation.
5. Touchstone announced call-ups for the national team’s November matches
Jan Bednarek and Nicola Zalewski, who did not stay called by the new coach MichaĆ Probierz in October, they return to the Polish football team. However, Arkadiusz Milik will not be there. The white and red team will play against Czech Republic in the European Championship qualifiers and socializing with Latvia.
