The 20-year-old, wanted by three arrest warrants, did not stop at the police roadside check to avoid the sentencing sentence. During the chase, he lost control of his vehicle at a bend and hit a road sign. Now – as the police informs – his prison sentence may be extended by an additional five years.
The incident took place on Monday afternoon in Skarżysko-Kamienna (Świętokrzyskie Province). The patrol of the local road traffic on Legionów Street wanted to stop a passenger Ford for inspection. The policemen, using light and sound signals, signaled the driver to stop. Then the driver accelerated and started to run away.

– He entered Ekonomii street, then 11 Listopada. He still didn’t respond to the signals of the police car. After driving about two kilometers, the fugitive turned into 3 Maja Street and continued his escape. At the intersection with Kościuszko Street, he hit a road sign and immobilized the car, reports Jarosław Gwóźdź, the press officer of the Skarżysko police.
The man’s escape can be seen on the recording from the police video recorder. The 20-year-old, who did not have the driving license, was fine. – After checking in the database, it turned out that he is listed as a wanted person by three arrest warrants. In total, he has to serve over 400 days in prison for previous conflicts with the law. For failing to stop for police control, the man is now facing a prison sentence of up to five years – emphasizes Gwóźdź.
